SEPA Performs

SEPA Performs rates our performance against Key Targets for the outcomes in our Corporate Plan for 2008-2011.

For each of our key targets, we have identified a responsible target owner and a progress scorecard. To get a more complete picture of our performance, we have used the Scottish Government's Scotland Performs model and asked the following questions of the target owners to evaluate the 'trend' and 'status':

  • Why is the target important to Scotland?
  • What are the influences, internal and external, that affect the target?
  • What is the status of the target; red, amber, or green?
  • What is the role of delivery partners in achieving the target?
  • How are we performing against the target?
  • What are the challenges lying ahead?
  • What is the public benefit of SEPA meeting the target?

These performance indicators are updated on a quarterly basis; the last year's quarterly reports are available below.

We have used the model pioneered by the US State of Virginia in their Virginia Performs external link framework. The Scottish Government also recently adopted this framework for Scotland Performs external link.
